At Bo'Ai, there's this particular girl whom i nicknamed her 'hong hong'.. we have looongg chats whenever she's doing ther physiotherapy.. its like.. almost 2hrs.. i just watch her do and chit chat. She's already 12 so we have lots to talk about.. like school, weather, china and singapore.. She's like any other teen to be.. plus maturity of a 16 year old. She takes her therapy damn seriously.. like she wouldn't even cheat for 10mins... I thought she really has character. She's smart and nice. I hope people will start not to notice her disabilities but what she can give to the society in future.
During the 10 days at Bo'Ai, I realized many of us saw the disabilities of these kids and we empathize them sooo much till we felt fortunate whenever we stand up and walk properly. After a few days, we started seeing their qualities and their similarities to us.. i totally understand the tagline 'We're a part not apart' now. An epihany right...
I wish to have just a fraction of her perseverance...
Throughout the trip, i found the day to the orphanage the most unforgetable. I thought of 'my boy' pretty much even till now. He's sooo cute lar!
Its hard to control all the bubbles of emotions in me! I miss him so much and i hoped he remembers me.. ok... he couldn't recall my name when i left..
I hope he gets adopted soon and have tonns of basketball cards ( i think he likes it from the way he snatched from other kids).
Its very rare that i like kids especially when i usually wanna break their necks... but this is different. Aww....
ok.. i'm going on and on and on abt it...
I felt really dumb after the entire thing.. cos i didn't snap any pictures.. if not for ee sheng...
The rest of the pics had me, him and my protruding tummy, so till i've learnt how to use photoshop shop, these are the pics.....
I have discovered a lot (ok 3) things about myself ...
1. I love kite flying
2. I love horse riding
3. I actually still like kids
I have never succeeded kite flying before... and I thought its a bit boring cos you just run around.. and that's like the only fun part. Ok.. i found running around fun as boring as it sounds.
I love x3 horse riding.. now i ride my pony everyday...
NOT.
Shanghai... is pretty pretty pretty! Its like the new york of the states and the paris of france... minus baguettes and crossiants... replacing them with Xiao long baos and spring onion pancakes..
Shanghai is so developed and yet so nostalgic.
See! Even with my bad photography and lousy angle.. it still looks like a perfect desktop wallpaper! or a postcard.. so chio...
