l♥ved, ...
I wonder... if everyone in the world regard handicaps as equal human beings, will our perspectives of these less fortunate kids still be the same. I think, some kids are born special, with talents that help them to achieve unbelievable heights when they grow up. Some are born with defects that will impede in anything they want to do. We all blame destiny for being unfair. But we can't just keep putting the blame on something that predeterminds our life whether we like it or not. I believe everyone of us are born with different abilities that will benefit the society differently. Its just what we want to achieve in our lives that will make a difference in the impact we want to make to this society... After this trip, I began to view things differently. I think ultimately, those parents with disabled kids hope that they will be able to survive on their own without much or any help from others. To survive means living an enriching life and able to earn a living. However, in order to achieve this, WE as a general society should do our parts too... I've seen a HR firm rejecting this girl who can't walk properly even though she has the same qualifications as me. It's sad. It's not like they were given a choice before they were born! I hope when all of us get into the society in future, we will look at them differently. Already they can't change their destiny, i hope we all can help them lead a better life by giving them equal opportunities and have a broader mindset.. its like looking at a glass that is half filled or half empty.
