Today... was my first day working for this Land Banking company... I met this girl who is now my colleague. I thought i've seen the worst hypocrite person in the whole of singapore.. but i was wrong. SHE.. is the new champ.... she's... an ACE at hypocritism. The story: I went to work today as an events promoter. My job is to get people to go to my booth to spin the wheel and win prizes.. it sounds easy... unless the Sun wasn't scorching, the people friendlier and the commission so little. Anyway, i was working along with this gal,L, she passed her A levels with AAC but she couldn't get into some course she wanted because of her C grade. SO she intends to re-take. Also, her dad (who is some GOD from the way she says how she worships him) WANTS her to get into NUS because its the best here and they have the best everything la. We were sitting down chit chatting during our break. The in-charge people also sat down with us. Thats when everything started. They started asking which sch we're studying naturally b'cos they were all working adults... ME: Poly L: holidays but i was from XXJC (not top 10), i just graduated with a full cert. Them: So going UNI? L: NO... cos of my grades ....yada yada yada.... From her grades she went on talking on how she couldn't get into the course she wanted then her dad wanting her to do it in NUS then her passion for this higher mother tongue then she wanting to be a journalist, broadcaster, some political shit, some lawyer who defends for the innocent (self-righteous).... so LONG (actual time: almost 40 mins... i had a cup of coke, called my fren and contemplated if i shld get a pedicure soon).... Snatching the limelight is not so irritating... but is what she says thats IRRITATING... Them: Oh! for me, very long time ago, i failed my Math, science n english for my O levels thats why i didn't study further... L: IS OK! i don't judge people because i think a person's potential shldn't be judged like this... SEE! SEE! its like STOP IT CAN? then here's another one.. Me: so is there any carreer direction u're heading since u're going UNI next yr... L: Oh, i don't know. But i really want to be a lawyer to defend for the innocent. Me:.... If u're at her side, u must be thinking how jealous i am cos she's a smarty pants... NO.. i'm not. Because after the job while we (me n L) walk to the MRT, she said this... L: Actually i'm re-taking my A's cos of my bf. HE's still in the army that's y... Me: oh.. not for the course? L: we share the same passion and we want to do it tog. SEE! And in front of everyone she was like this goody 2 shoes who just wanna make daddy happy! But she's fake! She re-take cos of her BF... not for her dad who would be so much happier if she becomes some economist and not some politcal shit.. who her dad (an economist) referred (in her conversation she said her dad wants her to follow his foot-steps!) the political science thing she wants to study will make her a govt slave!
